Before you make you decision on the choice of items such
as favors, invitations and dress, you need to choose or make a decision
on the theme. In fact, the theme is the first thing you need to
consider when you are planning for your wedding. However, there can be
too many different themes for you to think of and you may feel lost at
some point. In order to make your life easier, you may consider the
following points when you are selecting your theme.
The first thing you need to think of is the season and the time of the
year you will going to have your big day. If you are going to have that
in summer, your theme will never be a winter one and vice versa. If you
are planning to have your big day during a festival, you may make your
relating to the festival. For example, you can make your reception like
a Christmas party if you are going to have your in late December.
You may also select your theme based on some cultural experiences. If both of you and your spouse are big fans of Asian culture, you may try to arrange an Asian theme, or even Chinese theme wedding. This will certainly be special and your guests will be amazed by what you have prepared for your big day.
Another thing you need to consider is the style of your wedding. You need to think whether you would like a formal or an informal one. If you are someone who think is all about etiquette, you may choose to have a more formal wedding. On the contrary, you will probably choose the latter if you believe is meant to be fun. Usually a in a church will be considered a formal one while some other choices such as beach weddings will be regarded as an informal one. Your choice will affect how you select your other items such as venue and music. It will be quite impossible to change your mind in the middle of your planning. As a result you should make think clearly before you make your decision.
Besides the style, the form of your should also be considered. Here the form refers to whether you would like a more traditional wedding. A traditional one can be a good choice if you do not want to put too much effort on your big day. However, I believe that most couples would like to make their as special as possible and they will try to put as much effort as they can to make their unique. In this case you may go for a more modern choice.
Although your choice of theme will affect your choices of other items, there are some cases that some items are preset and you have to make your theme somehow in line with them. For example, if you are going to use the dress of your mother, or even grand mother, you may not choose a beach theme. The key is that every little detail should match one another so that your will be more unique.
